A Quizlet alternative for studying your own course
Quizlet is best for sets someone has already made and for memorizing terms. If you need cards and practice tests that match one specific class, a tool that reads your course is the better alternative. Sendy writes flashcards, full notes and graded practice tests from the slides, readings and recordings you upload for each week.

When Quizlet is the better choice
- You are memorizing vocabulary or terms that are the same in every course, like a language or anatomy.
- A classmate or teacher already shared a set made for your class.
- You only need flashcards, nothing else.
When a course-aware tool is better
- Your professor teaches their own version of the subject: their notation, their cases, their examples.
- You want questions that explain why, not just what, and practice tests in your exam's format.
- You do not have hours to build sets by hand every week.
Switching over
You do not need to move your old sets. Keep them for memorization, and upload this week's slides and readings to Sendy for everything else. Try the demo first to see cards, notes and a graded test from a real class.
Questions students ask
Is there a free Quizlet alternative?
Anki is free on most devices and is excellent for memorization. Sendy is a paid monthly plan, and you can try a full demo class first without signing up.
Can Sendy import my Quizlet sets?
No. Sendy writes cards from your course files instead. Keep using Quizlet for sets you already have.
What does Sendy do that Quizlet does not?
It reads your slides, readings, recordings and syllabus, and writes full notes, a study guide, practice tests graded with feedback, and a podcast from them.
Is Sendy only for university?
It is built for university and college courses, where each professor teaches their own version of a subject.
